Millions of people want to eat and serve wholesome meals to their families. At the same time, over 1.3 billion tonnes of food is wasted annually, partially because people purchase ingredients they never end up using. Which makes you wonder, “Why?”
Time for many is a luxury that can’t go to waste. Packed and conflicting schedules, not knowing how to cook, and valuing convenience over quality keep many people turning to inefficient and expensive meal choices.
However, individuals still crave quality time together with their families, self-care, and maintaining a balanced diet throughout the week. This is why one working mom, Subina Shami, created a time-saving solution backed by science.

For years, Subina experimented with the science of cooking, using timers, thermometers, and a manual prototype to record optimum measurements for tasty, nutrient-packed meals.
She then collaborated with a product development company, working with a team of engineers to build the automated prototype. In 2020, they programmed their first recipe card, plugged it into the machine, and the device prepared her family’s favorite ‘Aaloo ki Bhujia’. They shared this celebratory meal together – so delicious, they took the leftovers home!
The Cuisine Machine cooked the recipe perfectly, the way Subina had been dreaming about for the last 12 years. She has since won numerous awards globally for her invention and has more extensive plans for the future of cooking.
